ROSCOE follows the journey of a self-centered, hedonistic man-child who learns that true maturity comes from embracing and cherishing fatherhood. Roscoe Campbell was the slow-motion-ass-kicking star of a cheesy '90s hit TV cop show, Davenport. It was beautiful. It was stupid. It was a hit.
Roscoe now lives a haphazard life somewhere between vice and survival. When his fourteen-year old way too good for him kind of son Oliver unexpectedly shows up asks to live with him, Roscoe says he “can’t be doing the dad thing right now” and makes a few weak excuses for turning him down.
Out of selfish need, Roscoe concocts a plan to move in to his ex-wife Beth’s mansion and care for Oliver while her and her new (extremely wealthy) husband are setting up the new office in Brussels. Despite Beth's warnings, she reluctantly agrees. As Roscoe fumbles through fatherhood, he sets his sights on proving himself as dad material to a TV director, hoping to revive his acting career.
Through a series of comedic mishaps and heartfelt moments, Roscoe gradually bonds with Oliver and earns the respect of those around him. His life takes a dramatic turn when a few viral stunts catapult him back into the limelight, only for his newfound success to crumble due to his own mistakes.
Rock bottom forces Roscoe to confront his shortcomings and the depth of his son's affection. With newfound determination, he rebuilds his relationship with Oliver and reignites his career. In the end, father and son emerge transformed, ready to face the future together.
